The ACR53

"Extraordinary", "cheeky" and "fun", but equally "reliable" and "supreme" are just some of the adjectives which can be applied to the most emotional small car of recent years. For AC Schnitzer, closely associated with the white-and-blue products for decades, the logical consequence was to develop a special accessory range for the MINI lea ving nothing to be desired.

Performance Upgrades

Engine tuning and performance upgrades have a long tradition at AC Schnitzer. To be on the safe side however, we prefer not to extract the maximum possible power but instead ensure greater robustness, which means a longer life of the engine. Many of our diesel performance upgrades are therefore designed for an increase in torque rather than an increase in horsepower. Because torque is what you feel when for example you're "pressed back in the seat" on pulling away.
To improve response behavior, the performance upgrade is combined with the AC Schnitzer special steel sports rear silencer with chromed racing tailpipe.
To improve traction and steering, in collaboration with the company Drexler Motorsport a limited slip differential with a locking rate up to 75 % has been developed which exceeded all our expectations. The vehicle complete with racing suspension offers pure driving dynamics! As a reasonable completion of the performance kit with limited slip differential, we offer an additional reinforced clutch. Together with the Short Shift sports gear change, more precise gear changes can be achieved. The best premises for an accentuated sportive driving.
Our brake system uses 4-pot fixed calipers on the front axle. Fast and precise response is guaranteed by the slotted, internally vented discs. At the same time, the high performance brake system from AC Schnitzer delivers excellent deceleration even under sustained use, in both extreme heat and driving rain.The generously dimensioned brake discs in 328 x 28 millimeters bleeds off the speed energetically even after 20 downhill bends, while the pressure point remains stable.

Suspension Technology

For the MINI Cooper S there are a height adjustable racing suspension and for pure lowering a spring kit available. Finally the suspension concept is completed by the aluminum strut brace for the front axle and the sway bar kit for the rear axle; conversions which both stabilize the MINI Cooper S at corners or sudden evasive maneuvers. So it's no wonder that the subjective driving impressions are similar to a Go-Kart on twisty roads or at high speeds.

The Bodywork

The AC Schnitzer rear skirt not only integrates the silencer but also makes the MINI models look much more powerful. For the front there's also a complete skirt which, with its generously dimensioned front grille and chrome frame, gives the MINIs a new, brighter face. But the aerodynamic conversion doesn't just provide the finishing touch visually. Made from high quality PU-Rim, it ensures better downforce and is easy to paint and fit. The styling range for the exterior is completed with designer stripes and the AC Schnitzer logos "Technology & Design" available in white or black and for the Cooper S with a red "S". The absolute eye catcher - for viewers on both the outside and inside - is the AC Schnitzer folding roof for the Coupé version which with its 710 x 810 mm opening almost gives the MINI that wonderful cabriolet feeling.

The Interior

The famous "finishing touch" is given by interior components such as the carbon interior in black, aluminum pedal sets with matching footrest cover, the aluminum gear knob and the aluminium handbrake handle. Last but not least, special foot mats are available with the two-color embroidered AC Schnitzer "Technology & Design logo.

The Wheels

The new AC Schnitzer Mi2 alloy in BiColor Design is now celebrating its world premiere. Now there are two wheel designs available for all MINI models: the Mi1 wheel with the familiar, classic AC Schnitzer 5-spoke style, and the Mi2 wheel in brand new, modern double-spoke design with BiColor finish. The new AC Schnitzer Mi2 BiColor alloy, with its ultramodern styling combined with the highest standards in materials, production methods and driving dynamics, is now available as a one-piece variant for all MINI vehicles.Naturally the new Mi2 BiColor wheel generation fits the current and the new MINI vehicles, and is available immediately in size 7.5J x 18" offset 50. For tyres, we recommend high performance tyres from Continental and Michelin in size 215/35 R 18 or optionally in 205/40 R 18.
