The ACR50

For the MINI Cooper, complete AC Schnitzer special accessory ranges are available. A diesel performance upgrade, an aerodynamics range, suspension components with wheel/tyre combinations, and accessories for the interior - leaving nothing to be desired.

Performance Upgrades

Engine tuning and performance upgrades have a long tradition at AC Schnitzer. To be on the safe side however, we prefer not to extract the maximum possible power but instead ensure greater robustness, which means a longer life of the engine. Many of our diesel performance upgrades are therefore designed for an increase in torque rather than an increase in horsepower. Because torque is what you feel when for example you're "pressed back in the seat" on pulling away. For engines and performance upgrades, we offer a warranty of two years from the date of first registration, up to a kilometre reading of 100,000 km on all components excluded from the BMW warranty.

Of course it's worth fitting the AC Schnitzer rear silencer with or without the performance upgrade. But here the customer faces a choice. Two variants are available for the MINI Cooper: a twin-pipe exhaust system with one oval tailpipe in right/left combination or a single oval tailpipe design. Whatever variant the customer chooses, he or she guaranteed a throaty sound and attractive integration of the rear silencer into the rear of the MINI in all cases. Last but not least there is for all MINI models (except Cooper S) a chromed, oval tailpipe available which also sets an optical highlight.

Suspension

For the ACR50, there is a height adjustable racing suspension and for pure lowering a spring kit available. Finally the suspension concept is completed by the aluminium strut brace for the front axle and the sway bar kit for the rear axle; conversions which both stabilise the RC52 at cornerings or sudden evasive maneuvers. So it's no wonder that the subjective driving impressions are similar to a Go-Kart on twisty roads or at high speeds.

The Bodywork

The AC Schnitzer rear skirt not only integrates the silencer but also makes the R50 look much more powerful. For the front there's also a complete skirt which, with its generously dimensioned front grille and chrome frame, gives it a new, brighter face. But the aerodynamic conversion doesn't just provide the finishing touch visually. Made from high quality PU-Rim, it ensures better downforce and is easy to paint and fit.

The Interior

The famous "finishing touch" is given by interior components such as the caron interior in black aluminium pedal sets with matching footrest cover, the aluminium gear knob and the aluminium handbrake handle. Last but not least, special foot mats are available with the two-colour embroidered AC Schnitzer "Technology & Design" logo.

The Wheels

The new AC Schnitzer Mi2 alloy in BiColor Design is now celebrating its world premiere. Now there are two wheel designs available for all MINI models: the Mi1 wheel with the familiar, classic AC Schnitzer 5-spoke style, and the Mi2 wheel in brand new, modern double-spoke design with BiColor finish. The new AC Schnitzer Mi2 BiColor alloy, with its ultramodern styling combined with the highest standards in materials, production methods and driving dynamics, is now available as a one-piece variant for all MINI vehicles. Naturally the new Mi2 BiColor wheel generation fits the current and the new MINI vehicles, and is available immediately in size 7.5J x 18" offset 50. For tyres, we recommend high performance tyres from Continental and Michelin in size 215/35 R 18 or optionally in 205/40 R 18.
