ACS5 Sedan

With the 5-series E39-range, BMW has undoubtedly developed a top class business car which sets new standards in terms of equipment, reliability and driving performance. All of which means you'll be delighted to call a 5-series your own. You'll be even more delighted to be the owner of an AC Schnitzer ACS5. This model brings a clear increase of the driving fun factor with no loss of comfort in Business Class.

Performance Upgrades

Engine tuning and performance upgrades have a long tradition at AC Schnitzer. To be on the safe side however, we prefer not to extract the maximum possible power but instead ensure greater robustness, which means a longer life of the engine. Many of our diesel performance upgrades are therefore designed for an increase in torque rather than an increase in horsepower. Because torque is what you feel when for example you're "pressed back in the seat" on pulling away. With or without engine tuning, a sports rear silencer of V2A stainless steel gives improved responding behavior. And to shorten shifting travel, we have developed a special "Short Shift" gear shift.

Suspension

Extensive testing has led to the development of an aluminum sports suspension to meet the highest standards in all respects: safe and sporting handling with unrestricted suitability for everyday use. In addition the suspension concept is completed with anti roll bars, aluminum strut braces and - for pure lowering of the 5 series - with a spring kit.

The Bodywork

The designers have also given the 5-series a striking, characteristic appearance which offers top quality in three respects:

- optimized overall aerodynamics
- dynamic styling with an individual note
- high quality materials assure a long life time and fitting accuracy

Interior

For the 5-series interior we offer an extensive range of exclusive accessories made of high quality materials. Beside the carbon fiber interior the cockpit can be enhanced in design with airbag sports steering wheels, aluminum foot rests and pedals.

The Wheels

Specially adapted wheel and tire combinations up to the dimension of 245/35 R 19 front and 275/30 R 19 rear with light alloy and racing rims in Type II and III are also available to complete the range in terms of driving dynamics.
