ACS6 Coupe

The years of waiting has finally reached an end. We have again a BMW 6-series Coupé! The question of whether the "newcomer" can successfully follow the legendary coupes of the 70s and 80s simply doesn't arise, as the 6-series, with internal designation E63, already has the potential of a legend: sports performance, elegance and dynamics.

Performance Upgrades

Engine tuning and performance upgrades have a long tradition at AC Schnitzer. To be on the safe side however, we prefer not to extract the maximum possible power but instead ensure greater robustness, which means a longer life of the engine. Many of our diesel performance upgrades are therefore designed for an increase in torque rather than an increase in horsepower. Because torque is what you feel when for example you're "pressed back in the seat" on pulling away. Even without engine tuning, we recommend fitting the AC Schnitzer sports rear silencer with chromed tailpipe trim, which is made completely from special steel and optimizes response behavior.

 Suspension

The sporting performance is further enhanced by the AC Schnitzer sports suspension which has been undergone tests on public roads and on the North Loop of the Nürburgring. As well as simply lowering by around 25 mm, we have made the 6-series Coupé stiffer for more sporting performance while retaining maximum comfort.  In addition the suspension concept is completed with anti roll bars and - for pure lowering of the 6 series Coupé - with a spring kit.

 The Bodywork

Naturally our engineers and designers, worked in close collaboration and have developed a unique aerodynamic conversion consisting of front spoiler in a new sporting design, side skirt inserts, rear spoiler and a rear skirt. The aerodynamic range is completed by a chrome line Set, to provide some chrome highlights if desired.

Interior

Exclusivity is also the key word for the cockpit: as well as a carbon fiber interior trim in the new "Exclusive Design" in silver and an ergonomically designed airbag sports steering wheel, above all the aluminum accessories, e.g. for the controller of the BMW-specific "i-Drive System", provide the finishing touches.

The Wheels

In the first stage of development work, AC Schnitzer adapted the alloy and racing wheels for the 6 series. These wheels are available in Type II, Type III and Type IV design up to the maximum size 9,0J x 21" with 255/30 R 21 on the front and 10,0J x 20" with 295/25 R 21 on the rear axle.

The absolute highlight in the wheel range is the new "Type V - Forged Wheel". This lightweight forged wheel with the bi-color finish achieves an apparent contradiction: Reduction in weight with simultaneous maximum wheel diameters and widths. It is available in the dimensions 9,0J x 20" and 10,0 J x 20" and the weight of the front axle wheel is only approx. 10,8 kg.
