The ACS3 Touring
The new 3-series model range grows and grows. True to the motto "The driving force", the 3-series sets the standards for driving pleasure in a new dimension. To quote the worldwide motoring press in countless road tests in the run-up to the official launch, a simple formula defines the 3-series: Comfort + High Quality Engineering + Sports Performance = 3 series
Performance Upgrades
Engine tuning and performance upgrades have a long tradition at AC Schnitzer. To be on the safe side however, we prefer not to extract the maximum possible power but instead ensure greater robustness, which means a longer life of the engine. Many of our diesel performance upgrades are therefore designed for an increase in torque rather than an increase in horsepower. Because torque is what you feel when for example you're "pressed back in the seat" on pulling away. For all engine variants we have developed sports rear silencers made from stainless steel which improve the exhaust gas flow. The "chromed" finish comes from the Racing tailpipe, which is available for purely visual enhancement.
The Suspension Technology
To further improve the driving dynamics, our engineers have developed a wealth of suspension components. The first step was the implementation of a spring kit which lowers the vehicle by around 25 - 30 mm. In the next stage, the specifications for the suspension engineers include a complete sports suspension and antiroll bar kit with racing strut brace for the front. The complete modification perceptibly improves the driving behavior of the new 3-series for more sports performance with no significant loss of comfort, and also substantially increase safety reserves. Last but not least we additionally develop a special racing suspension.
The Bodywork
AC Schnitzer body styling components are outstanding not merely because of the sporting design: Made of high quality PU-Rim, the aerodynamic components ensure excellent fit and problem-free paint. For the 3-series Touring without M-Technik there is a front spoiler and for cars with M-Technik there are front spoiler elements available. Both not only stand out due to their designs, but they also improve down-force on the front axle. The aerodynamic finishing touch for the rear is provided by the rear roof spoiler. The Touring is also fitted with sports mirrors which, in conjunction with the side skirts (only for cars without M Technik), give the side lines a more elongated look. Optionally the side skirts can be accentuated with a chrome-line Set. To complete the appearance, the designers have developed a customized rear skirt for cars without M-Technik as well as a rear apron insert for cars with M-Technik.
The Interior
For the interior, a carbon interior trim in "Exclusive" silver is available with matching sports airbag steering wheels. We have a range of aluminum accessories such as e.g. gear-knobs, handbrake handle, pedals, footrests and a cover for the BMW "i-Drive System" available. Velours floor mats complete the range.
The Wheels
Type II and Type III alloys and racing rims are of course available. Wheel/tire combinations are possible in various sizes from 17" to maximum 20", with 245/30 R 20 all round. The avant-garde Type IV alloy with its optional chrome elements as well as the Type IV BiColor alloys constitute true highlights in the wheels sector.
