AC SCHNITZER Program for the R56 MINI Cooper/Cooper S

The Mini Cooper S by AC Schnitzer

At the moment the AC Schnitzer designers and engineers develop a special accessories range for the new MINI. Following the history of the MINI, we will concentrate on special developments in the area of performance upgrades, sports rear silencer, sports suspension, exterior components and Interior details.

Performance Upgrades

Engine tuning and performance upgrades have a long tradition at AC Schnitzer. To be on the safe side however, we prefer not to extract the maximum possible power but instead ensure greater robustness, which means a longer life of the engine. Many of our diesel performance upgrades are therefore designed for an increase in torque rather than an increase in horsepower. Because torque is what you feel when for example you're "pressed back in the seat" on pulling away. Our brake system (for MINI Cooper S) uses 4-pot fixed calipers on the front axle. Fast and precise response is guaranteed by the slotted, internally vented discs. At the same time, the high performance brake system from AC Schnitzer delivers excellent deceleration even under sustained use, in both extreme heat and driving rain. The generously dimensioned brake discs in 328 x 28 millimeters bleeds off the speed energetically even after 20 downhill bends, while the pressure point remains stable.

Suspension

Full gas to the next corner – and through it at full speed! Touring Car legend Manfred Wollgarten set up the AC Schnitzer racing suspension on the North Loop of the Nürburgring - and it runs rings round the already very good standard suspension. You can feel the difference just with the AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit.

The Bodywork

Back from the track to the city, where the reflective glass facades flashes the face of a model athlete. AC Schnitzer achieves this masterpiece with a few tricks. The front bumper has a new front spoiler. The front bumper has a new front spoiler. Painted in body color, and with its striking prominent corners, it sets a clear visual highlight. The sassy rear has also been subtly lifted. The rear skirt from AC Schnitzer, painted in contrast to standard, has a diffuser which effectively pulls the MINI down to the tarmac.

Interior

And naturally the enthusiastic MINI fan has a wealth of matching accessories for the interior. Such as aluminum handbrake handle, aluminum gear shift knob (aluminum/chrome), aluminum foot rest, aluminum and pedal set as well as velour floor mats - naturally from AC Schnitzer.
