ACS3 (Based on the X3)

The second "SUV" in the BMW family à la AC Schnitzer celebrated it's world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show 2004 with a special accessories range which covers all areas of the vehicle.

Performance Upgrades

Engine tuning and performance upgrades have a long tradition at AC Schnitzer. To be on the safe side however, we prefer not to extract the maximum possible power but instead ensure greater robustness, which means a longer life of the engine. Many of our diesel performance upgrades are therefore designed for an increase in torque rather than an increase in horsepower. Because torque is what you feel when for example you're "pressed back in the seat" on pulling away. With or without the performance upgrade, we also recommend as further developments the sports rear silencer of special steel with chromed racing tailpipe, as this ensures improved gas flow.

 Suspension

Some years before the suspension development of the X-ROAD came under the motto: "All Day - All Way". The same was naturally true of the X3. With its sports suspension, the X3 has an unlimited territory. Changing terrain - gravel slopes or asphalt roads - are no problem for the sports performance of the X3 with AC Schnitzer suspension.

The lowering by 20 - 30 mm in conjunction with the specially set up dampers perceptibly improves both the driving dynamics and the stability.

The Bodywork

The X3 is also converted aerodynamically and visually. The aerodynamic range, - only for cars without facelift - completely paintable, contains a front skirt which integrates harmoniously the standard fog lights and the grille. Optionally the new front skirt can be fitted with a Chrome line set. At the rear, a rear roof spoiler and a rear skirt with indicated under floor wing profile and a cut-out for the sports rear silencer provide aerodynamic balance. The rear skirt is available for vehicles with and without tow-bar.

Interior

To enhance the cockpit, a carbon fiber interior trim in silver and airbag sports steering wheels is available. Pedal sets, foot rest, gear knobs and a handbrake handle in aluminum set the highlights. The interior range is completed by velour foot mats with the AC Schnitzer logo.

The Wheels

Secure contact with the ground is guaranteed by the different wheel and tire combinations. The Type IV alloys and racing rims form the top version. The maximum size at the front with the Type IV racing rims is 9.0J x 21" with tires 255/30 R 21 and at the rear 10.0J x 21" with 295/25 R 21.

Alternative there are also the 20" size racing rim Type IV, and the classic racing rim Type III available. 19" wheels are also available - this size is covered by the Type III alloy and racing rims and the new Type IV alloys. Further down the scale, the range is completed with 17" and 18" wheels of these types.
