TECHART GOES WIDE WITH THE BOXSTER 987

With the success of the 986 Widebody conversion, TECHART, world renowned Porsche tuner, has developed a widebody concept for the current Boxster 987.

TECHART WIDEBODY CONCEPT BASED ON BOXSTER 987; FRONT SPOILER W/ INTEGRATED FOG/HIGH BEAM LIGHTS, FRONT GRILL INSERT, SIDE SKIRTS AND 20" FORMULA WHEELS

Dramatic add-on front and rear fender flares increase the vehicle's width by 8 centimeters. The fender flares not only achieve the wider look, but are functional as well. The front flares improve the de-ventilation of hot air, while the rear flares are equipped with large air ducts that pull fresh air into the centrally placed engine.

Aside from the stunning visual transformation, TECHART designers have achieved optimal aerodynamics. The TECHART front spoiler with integrated fog and driving lights reduces lift at the front axle and improves cooling of the front brakes and radiators with large air ducts. The TECHART rear wing and rear apron with integrated diffuser rounds out the conversion.

Wider and larger diameter wheels and tires are integral in completing the TECHART Widebody concept for the Boxster 987. TECHART's Formula wheel application made for the Wideboy includes 8.5x20" wheels for the front, and 11x20" wheels for the rear. Tires sizes are 235/30ZR20 in front and 305/25R20 on the rear.

The height and damper adjustable TECHART coilover sport suspension is specially set-up for these Formula wheels and tires as well as the wider track. Boxster models with the PASM system can also be enhanced with TECHART's coilover sport suspension. A TECHART strut brace is also available.

TECHART power kits for the two water-cooled six-cylinder Boxster engines consist of a sport air filter and newly programmed engine electronics. The result is 15 hp / 11 kW of increased power and enhanced road performance.

For the interior, TECHART provides an ergonomic sport airbag steering wheel and aluminum pedal set.
