CEC'S '06 COLLECTION PREVIEW
November 17, 2005News : CEC :
Claus Ettensberger's Collection Previews have proven to be unlike any other event at SEMA. That certainly held true for CEC's '06 Collection Preview in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, November 2, 2005.
This year, instead of the show occurring outside where the vehicles and products stay afterwards; the entire production was under one roof at the Las Vegas Country Club's Pavilion.
Lexus shared center stage as the official vehicle brand for Signature Edition and Antera alloy wheels. Joining the esteemed ranks of CEC sponsors are Marquis Jet, boasting a fleet of private jets for lease, and STRUT, specializing in distinctive chrome grills.
For the third consecutive year, Michelin was the evening's co-host and technical partner providing high performance tires for runway vehicles. Tommy Kendall, professional driver and SPEED Channel personality was the MC for the third time, along with a new face, model and actress Courtney Hansen.
The pavilion was transformed for the evening into CEC's "Ultra-lounge". Psychedelic lighting played against the white draped walls, shag carpets and over-sized leather furniture. Martinis flowed from the LEXUS ice luge, and appetites were satisfied with delicious food.
The guests were perfectly contented with their luxurious surroundings, and gasped with surprise as they realized that this incredible evening had not yet hit its stride. Shortly after 9pm, the wall of the reception area magically began to rise, and a seductive billow of smoke rolled in from underneath.
Unbeknownst to the guests, there were 12 incredibly tuned cars, complimented by lovely fashion models, waiting for their previews on the other side. Everyone hurried in to get the best seats. Every seat was a winner since the entire preview was being projected onto an elevated 12 foot wide screen that formerly acted as the separating wall.
Courtney and Tommy introduced vehicles tuned by TECHART, NOVITEC, and AC Schnitzer. New designs from Antera and CEC Signature Edition alloy wheels also debuted in the show. The exciting production was concluded by Claus Ettensberger who made the official announcement of CEC's new relationship with BRABUS tuning for Mercedes-Benz. The statement was punctuated by an incredible 445hp BRABUS tuned CLS55.
This special night also celebrated CEC's 15 years of excellence, and the brands that have made CEC North America's source for the world's finest aftermarket automotive accessories since 1990:
Antera road wheels
AC Schnitzer tuning for BMW and MINI
TECHART tuning for Porsche
NOVITEC Rosso tuning for Ferrari
Claus Ettensberger Signature Edition wheels
...and now BRABUS tuning for Mercedes-Benz
