In May, TECHART won the coveted Tuner Grand Prix in Germany. Modified L & E Magazine gives a first hand account of the victory and features the TECHART GT Street RS on its August cover.

MODIFIED L & E AUGUST ISSUE "Fresh from victory at the Hockenheimring in Germany, the TechArt GT Street RS now holds the title of Europe's fastest modified street car.

The title is largely ceremonial, but the fierce competition at the Tuner Grand Prix and the fact that the event is open to all of Europe's finest tuners, make it the best all-around performance test available.
 
There is a lot of pride in winning the Tuner GP and the bragging rights a company earns by finishing at the top spot on the podium certainly helps sell a lot of product. And if you think top tuners don't take this event seriously, just read our event coverage starting on page 116.
 
If you're at all interested in the Porsche aftermarket then this car probably looks familiar to you. It does share much of its wild look with the 997 Turbo-based GT Street but the subtle aerodynamic changes, along with the lighter factory weight and ridiculous amount of horsepower elevate this car to a whole other plateau. It is, we can definitively say, as superior to the GT Street as the GT2 is to the Turbo."
